The Christmas Song by Calvin Owens
Another great episode. I don't know if I would tell someone the work that went into their gift. I guess it depends on who it was
ReplyDeleteYeah, I definitely think that would influence me as well. In retrospect, I also think that maybe telling them like that would be really gauche. So...maybe talk about how much time it takes to knit the sock that's in my hands, maybe? Or something like that? I don't know. I just hate the idea of giving something to someone that I think will love it only to find that they think it is homemade junk.
DeleteI'd love to win those stitch markers. They are adorable!

Jed's Joy are my favorite stitch markers!
DeleteHi Glen, I wouldn't tell someone all those details of what went into it. It probably wouldn't come out sounding very good. You just find out who is "knit worthy" and only knit for them. :-) Eileen (WiscKnitter)
ReplyDeleteI think that is probably the absolute best policy out there. :)
DeleteI think it depends on the person. Some people don't even look twice before moving on to their next got, while others will oooh and aaah over an item for quite a while. I've noticed that those people will usually ask how long it took to make something and I'll give them as honest of an answer as I can. Those are us people I knit for again ;)
ReplyDeleteKnit for those you have time for and think would actually wear or use the item. Lovely stitch markers. Hope I win..
