I understand your rant about designers but am offended about personal project page photos. Some of us use the page to keep track of our projects not as a how to for other knitters. This is why I'm hesitant in posting; this is my hobby and not my profession so judgement calls like that keep us lurking and not fully participating.
ReplyDeleteAnd, of course, I never meant to imply that Ravelry was not for you to use the way you see fit, personally. I'm just sad that so many photos don't do justice to the person who did all the work. Again, I apologize for offending.
DeleteOh! I'm truly sorry I offended you. That certainly wasn't my intent. (I also apologize I came across as ranting.) I had just noticed, mostly in certain threads where people were trying to show their awesome work, that the pictures did not do justice. I'm not talking about all project photos, per se. And for what it's worth? My project photos are pretty horrible.
